Sitting in the garden...
I was thinking about what to review next and, since I was reviewing facial cleansers first, and Clinique brand one was among them, I am going to review my 3-step skin care system. But I will do it later because today is a beautiful day outside and I do need to do some things first.
Here are some photos of the garden so far. I love to have my lunch there when it is sunny and nice (considering weather in Ireland!), listen to the birds sing and just relax for a couple of minutes.

Three facial cleansers: Clarins, Clinique & Estee Lauder
The first one is Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel for all skin types. I bought it not so long ago in Boots just because I wanted to try some new cleanser for my face and I respect Clarins brand. Now let me tell you that I have combination skintype-prone to blemishes with oily T-zone. So I am always very careful when choosing products for my skin and try to get ones which contain natural ingredients.
What is in the tube: marula oil (monounsaturated fatty acids, rich content of antioxidants) which nourishes, hydrates, soothes, naturally softens, revitalizes skin and helps balance its hydrolipidic film & mineral oil: emollient, which makes epidermis softer and
more pliable.
At first, when you squeeze the cleanser out, it starts out as a gel which transforms into an oil when massaged into skin (it should be put onto dry skin), and then a comforting milky emulsion when is rinsed out with water. At first, I sort of liked its texture. The smell is lovely. And it does remove all the makeup. On the flip side, it did not do anything to my skin, and I was not a big fan of its oily-milky texture at the end. I did not feel that my skin was perfectly clean and purified. My skin felt kind of oily no matter how thoroughly I washed my face. Although it does say that this cleanser is for all skin types I do not think that it is suitable for oily skin.
The next product is Clinique Wash-Away Cleansing Gel. It is for oily skin and I currently use it twice a day as a part of my 3-step system. It contains aloe barbadensis (its leaves are commonly known as aloe vera), which contains antioxidants-vitamins A, C and E, as well as thiamine, riboflavin, B12, choline and folic acid, and protects the skin from UV damage, and also has cooling effect; and chamomile, which promotes granulation and cell regeneration, and has antiseptic and healing quality. I LOVE these two ingredients and have always tried to buy a cleanser containing these ingredients. You only need a small amount of the gel to lather and massage into wet face and then rinse just it off. It is a great cleanser and makeup remover. It does not dry my skin out at all. Skin feels and looks so clean after this gel. I really love this product!
The last product I shall describe is Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser. It is for normal/combination skin. Everything they say on Estee Lauder site about this cleanser is true: "it thoroughly cleans and rebalances skin... with no soapy film, no trace of impurities...Gently manages oily zones while soothing dry areas. Leaves skin feeling renewed, comfortable, healthy". Cannot agree more and cannot add anything else to it. It does its job. And suits my skin perfectly. What is in the tube: white water lily, senega, barberry-these plant extracts are rich source of vitamin C, ease inflammation, provide suppleness to the skin. It has a wonderful texture and smell. Excellent product!
Well, I hope this review is helpful, especially for someone who has the same type of skin as I do. Please, do not hesitate to ask me if have any questions. Or you can leave your comments on any of this products down below.
Hello!
My name is Lena. I am originally from Russia and currently living in Ireland. I lived in quite a few countries. I love traveling and discovering countries and cities, people and their cultures.
I am SO excited about my new blog! I called it just "Lena's Blog" simple because I would like to talk about so many things not just one. Although, I know what I will start with...makeup. Why makeup? Recently I was watching makeup tutorials on you tube and I actually found it very very helpful to find out about some products, tips, etc. from these so called "gurus" of you tube I have always thought that advertisement can be both beneficial and harmful, especially for women!! And especially when they advertise cosmetic products!! They come up with something new almost every single day and advertise it hundreds time a day on all the channels no wonder when one sees an advert on TV she (and I am talking mostly about ladies here!) is eager to buy and try out this beautifully advertised product. Of course, that's what advertisement is for. I suffered from the same thing. You go and buy some product and than you realize that you do not like it or it does not suit or whatever-you are just not happy with it and you either throw it away or put it away hoping that you MIGHT use it some time. We all do that, don't we? And usually end up with multiple cosmetic products, and they grow...and grow...and it is so disappointing and frustrating. That's why I go to you tube to find out what people like out there, what is really good and worth buying. And I must tell you it really helps. Because there are brands like "Kiehl's" for example, I do not know if you heard about it or not, but they do not advertise. So, the only way of finding out would be through you tube and people who talk. And I mentioned this particular brand because it has been around for more than one hundred years and obviously it is good (now I do not say all their products and not for everyone, but it would be a separate topic for my blog) but they just do not advertise their products as such. It is important I think to rely on public opinion (but people who really know what they are talking about) not so much on advertisement. Reviews are great! And tutorials too! So I would like to do the same- to share my views, opinions, experiences, facts but not only on makeup but other things I have a clue of. I would love my blogs to be useful and interesting for you guys out there. And I would love to hear from you-your comments and feedback. That is why I am doing it. And if I review something I will tell the truth, ones again that's why I have started this blog. Anyway, I do not want to talk about makeup all the time. I have other interests. I love ballet, I have been doing it since I was 5 and I still do it and love it! I love languages. I do photography and study designing professionally. Love it so much! I love to learn new things and when I do I share. This is the concept of my blog. I will share with you things I am good at and enjoy doing. It is just life has so much to offer! "life is the most spectacular show on Earth!". And life itself, even the little things, inspire me. I am thinking of posting my blogs in Russian too, just so people from Russia could easily read it. Please, leave your comments and share too! And thanks for stopping by!
